Hiding Drives without any software

friends , Here are some very simple steps to hide your hard disk drive , without using any software,

May be some of you know this , but those who didn't , here it is ...



Step 1: Go to command prompt , window logo key+ R , will open the run terminal and then type 'cmd' (without inverted commas) there to open the command prompt.
Step 2: type the command 'diskpart' and hit enter. It will open a new prompt.
Step 3: type the command in newly open prompt 'list volume' , and hit enter.
Ex.  $diskpart> list volume
It will list all the drive volumes on your hard disk.
Step 4: Then find the no. of drive to which you want to hide. lets suppose it is drive F: in my case. Volume number corresponding to it be 4.
Step 5: type command 'select volume 4' , hit enter.
It will give message that volume 4 has been selected.
Step 6: type command 'remove letter F' , Enter.
and message will be generated.
Now exit the prompt and you will find your F: drive missing.

To restore the same drive , follow the same steps except the last one. Type 'assign letter f' , instead of 'remove letter f'. thats all.
